Munich is the Capital of German Federal State of Bavaria and is located on the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps. Munich is the third largest city of Germany and one of most prosperous of Europe. It’s a huge and sophisticated city with a population of about 1.3 million people.

Munich is the second most popular destination of Germany; it’s rivaled only by Berlin. Munich is noted for its architecture and culture and its world famous annual Oktoberfest beer celebration. It also offers hi-tech, parks, greenery, shopping, nightlife and skiing and sailing close by.

Olympiapark in Munich was site of the 1972 Olympic games and actually you can skate on the Olympic ice rink and swim in the Olympic Pool. Kids and their parents will like the puppet museum, the historical toy collection and the marionette theater that performs Mozart operas. Visitors also can enjoy meeting strangers while drinking the local brew at a beer garden.
