Sliema Spirituality And Religion
Generally, Maltese people are Catholic but there are also other religious denominations like Anglican, Church of Scotland, Greek Orthodox, Jewish, Methodists and even Muslim communities.
In-Nazzarenu Church
Sliema has a number of churches nowadays, one of them dedicated to Jesus of Nazareth also known as "In-Nazzarenu", three dedicated to Our Lady they are Stella Maris which is the oldest and Mother parish church, the Sacre Cuor and Mount Carmel, and another one dedicated to St. Gregory the Great. Most churches in Malta celebrate their fests in a great style and all mentioned above are not the exception; the most popular fest are those held in honor of Stella Maris and Sacre Cuor celebrated in August and July respectively.
