The city has excellent transport connections. Getting into central and other parts of London is easy.

Tramlink - Wimbledon transport

By tram

The Oxford Airport at Kidlington offers business and general aviation services. It is used for private and charter aircraft, and has no scheduled domestic and international flights. Useful only if you fly your own plane or able to charter a small aircraft.

By train

A frequent service from Wimbledon Station to Vauxhall (for Victoria Line) and Waterloo (for Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee, Waterloo and City Lines); Trains leave Waterloo very frequently during the day. The journey takes between fifteen and twenty minutes depending on how many stops are made. The station also has connections with the district line of the London underground serving stations to Upminster or Edgeware Road and the Tramlink service to Croydon within the same building.

By underground

District Line from Wimbledon Station to Central London or High Street Kensington and Notting Hill, is the quickest way to get anywhere.

By bus

Wimbledon counts with a special night bus, direct from London’s Trafalgar Square to Wimbledon. In general Wimbledon has good bus services running to many of the surrounding areas but it can be difficult without a map.

By bike

Wimbledon is a lovely area to ride a bike; the roads are wider in the middle of town where there is a lot of traffic. So cycling to Wimbledon Common or one of the many other little parks is very pleasant, non doubt far better than you take a bus.
